Jennie Mae Bell, 88, of West Melbourne, FL, died peacefully in her sleep, January 21, at the home of her daughter. Born in Virgil, NY, on November 14, 1917, Jennie Mae was the daughter of Mary (Albro) and Willet Cornwell. She attended Cortland State University College (then Cortland Normal School) and was by profession a teacher. She is the wife of the late Charles R. Bell. Former residents of Pearl River, NY, they moved to West Melbourne, FL after retirement. She is survived by two brothers, James and wife Mary of Binghamton, NY, Robert and wife Margaret of Newark Valley, NY and Melbourne, FL and three daughters, Teri Lawrence of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, Patti and husband Bob Haase of Raleigh, NC and Lori Hade of Germantown, NY. She also leaves eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Pearl River United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 1, at 1 pm with interment immediately following at St. Paul's Highview Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.
