Jeanne DavisJune 13, 2011Jeanne Lavery Davis, 89, of Fort Myers, passed away on June 13, 2011. Jeanne was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1922. The majority of her adult life was spent in the Greater New York area where she raised her family, graduated Magna Cum Laude from C.W. Post Long Island University and pursued an extraordinary career as an educator, entrepreneur & executive assistant. Jeanne retired to Fort Myers with her beloved husband, Richard, in the early 90s. Jeanne embraced her new community completely and became a patron of the Naples Preforming Arts Center, active politically and gave tirelessly to her Whiskey Creek home. Jeanne served between 1997-2001 in various Association positions including President. Jeanne's zest for life and eternal optimism will be missed by all. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle & Jim: sister, Grace: loving husband, Richard and many wonderful Carin Terriers. Jeanne is survived by dozens of loyal friends, her loving children, Susan Helton, Bruce Davis & Nora Cooper along with her beloved niece, Linda McNamara & nephews: Brian & Ted Chase their families & her granddaughter, Miranda Cooper. A Memorial Service will be held 2PM on Sat., Nov. 5 @ Congregational United Church of Christ, 8210 College Pkwy, FM.
