Jeanne-Bruton-Peterson Moore, née en 1940, conjointe de Charles Moore, mère de Anne et Kathryn, est décédée le 24 janvier 2011 à l'âge de 70 ans.
Jeanne Bruton Peterson Moore, age 70, died Monday, January 24, 2011. Born August 16, 1940, in Fort Smith, Ark., she was a New Smyrna Beach resident since 1974. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Jeanne taught English at DeLand High School from 1979 to 2002. She was a member of the Atlantic Center for the Arts and was a founder of Images: A Festival of the Arts, as well as the Tour of Homes. She was a member of the New Smyrna Beach Garden Club, the antiquing group "The Questers," and her beloved book club. She was also a member of the Governor's Advocacy Council. She was Arkansas' Junior Miss, 1958. She will be remembered for being a good friend, dedicated teacher, and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Charles Moore; two daughters, Anne and Kathryn Peterson; two stepsons, Patrick Harbison and Charles Moore Jr.; one sister, Gretchen Smallwood; six grandchildren, Billy Ort, Peyton, Samuel and Hank Moore, and Jessica and J.C. Oblinger; and two great-grandchildren, Jaden and Miles Oblinger. The memorial service will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, February 5, at Saint Peter The Fisherman Episcopal Church, 4220 Saxon Drive, New Smyrna Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of a donation to the Florida Museum for Women Artists, 100 N Woodland Blvd, Suite 1, DeLand, FL 32720.
