Anderson, 81, of Venice, formerly of Illinois, died Aug. 4, 2009.A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 at Colonial Baptist Church, 2400 Taylor Ranch Trail, in Venice. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert "Bob" Anderson. Jean dedicated her life to the education of elementary school children in Illinois and continued her teaching at Englewood Elementary School in Englewood. She was a member of the Colonial Baptist Church in Venice. An avid volunteer, giving tirelessly of her time, Jean will be most remembered for her countless hours visiting schools, libraries and health care facilities with her pet therapy poodles. Jean shared her talent creating and delivering silk floral arrangements to all those who requested them. She had the gift to observe, love and appreciate nature daily.
