WILLIAMS, JEAN L., 86, of Mount Dora died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, after being afflicted with Alzheimers Disease for many years. She was the wife of M. 0. "Buster" Williams, former Lake County School Board member and community leader who recently passed away on June 7. Born in 1917 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, she graduated from Gulfport High School in 1935. She graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1940, majoring in business and commerce. In 1941 she married Buster and after serving in the army for 5 years they moved back to Buster's native Mount Dora. There, Jean excelled as wife, mother, gardener and patron of the arts. An Episcopalian, Mrs. Williams was a member of the Lakes and Hills Garden Club and the Mount Dora Yacht Club. She was very active in Cub Scouts and P.T.A. She is survived by her 3 sons: Mark (wife Lyn) Altamonte Springs; Sam (wife Jackie) Leesburg; and Steve (wife Rachel) Mount Dora, and her sister Dawn Herring of Hattiesburg, MS. A joint memorial service for the couple was held on Wed, June 11, 2003 at St Edward's Episcopal Church in Mount Dora.
