Jannie Mae Calhoun Smith, affectionately called "Big Mom", a former Mamaroneck resident, died on June 10, 2004. She was 94. She is survived by two children Louise Hall and James E. Smith of Florida. Also survived by her loving granddaughter Willies (Howard) Nelson with whom she resided in Wingdale, New York. Predeceased by her husband James J. Smith and daughter Alyene Kimes.
