STARR, Rev. James T.ôJimö, a resident of Montgomery, AL. went to bewith the Lord on Tuesday,May 6, 2008. Funeral serviceswill be held Friday, May 9,2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Highland Gardens Baptist Churchwith Rev. Chuck Franciscoand Rev. Roger Carroll officiating. Burial will follow inGreenwood Cemetery withGassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Pastor Starrserved his country for 27 +years during the Vietnam andKorean war. He was pastor ofseveral churches during hisministry. Pastor Starr is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Inez Starr andone brother, Dennis Starr. Heis survived by his wife, HellonBrown Starr, two brothers,Wayne (& wife Evelyn) Starr,Kenneth David (& wife Betty)Starr, one sister, Joann Landrum, a number of nieces andnephews. Active pallbearerswill be William Flowers, JohnRogers, David Landrum Jr.,Gerald Starr, Don Hart, andWilliam Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Aikman and the deacons ofHighland Gardens BaptistChurch. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may bemade to the Sun Valley Indian School, The Gideons International, Attn: B. J. Lumpkin,171 River Birch Circle, Wetumpka, Alabama 36093, orthe Highland Garden BaptistChurch, 2014 Johnson Street,Montgomery, Alabama36110. Pastor Starr will lie instate 30 minutes prior to service time at the church.
