WHITE, JAMES E. James Earl White, 93, of Kennesaw, GA, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died May 12, 2009. He was born on May 7, 1916 in Taloga, Oklahoma. Mr. White was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II who served in Europe. Following service to his country, he worked as a welder on natural gas pipelines. From 1959 until his retirement in 1981, Mr. White worked for Florida Gas in Gainesville, FL. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he loved his Florida Gators. Mr. White, a member of New Salem Baptist Church, also enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and training his bird dogs. In 2003, Mr. White and his wife moved to Kennesaw, GA, to be closer to their sons. He is survived and loved by his wife of 72 years, Geraldine (Jeri) White; sons and daughters-in-law, James (Jodi) White of Grayson, GA, Ronald (Deborah) White of Fairfield, OH, and Dean White of Kennesaw, GA; brother, John White of NY; sisters, Carie Hall of AZ, LaQuita Jensen of TX, and Wanda Lee Mullinex of OK; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 15th, at New Salem Baptist Church, 836 New Salem Road, Kennesaw, GA 30152, (770) 428-4630. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross. The family will receive friends Friday, May 15th, from 12:30 until time of service at New Salem Baptist Church.
