LARRIVÉE, JACQUES-ANDRÉFebruary 1, 1951 – Octobre 29, 2013 At the age of 62, Jacques-André Larrivée died of heart failure during a visit to Japan. He was the son of Edmond Larrivée and Jeanne (née) Levasseur. He is survived by the following family members: Rachel, Nicole, Jocelyne (Jean-Marie Nadeau), Pierre, Suzanne (Elgin White), Gilles (Lise Lapointe) and Régis Larrivée. Also, grieving his passing are his cousins, nephews and nieces, one of whom Vincent Arseneault was his godchild. He had recently retired as a French Immersion Teacher at Riverside Secondary School in Port Coquitlam, B.C. He taught 35 years for the Coqutilam School District leaving behind a legacy that is felt by students who attribute their success to him in their on-going studies and careers around the globe. While the funeral has taken place in his native town in Quebec this November 19 , a celebration of his life and legacy will be held at Riverside Secondary School in Port Coquitlam at 2:30 p.m, Saturday November 23, 2013. Prior to this, starting at 1:00 p.m., there will be a walk from Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam's Town Centre Park to the school, Jacques-André's daily walk to and from school. He will long be remembered as a person who made a difference for many of us.
