DAMS -- J. Alfred LeBeau, 93, of 42 Commercial St., died Tuesday morning at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on Jan. 9, 1912, son of the late Joseph D. and Georgianna Genereux LeBeau, he attended Adams schools. Mr. LeBeau worked as an electrician and millwright at the former Dewey and Almy Co. and its successor, W.R. Grace Co., for many years, until retiring in 1977. Earlier, he had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co., and during World War II spent several years working as a welder at the Hingham Shipyard. He was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas. His wife, the former Irene Jeannette Guerin, whom he married on June 4, 1938, died on May 15. He leaves a daughter, Rene L. Macomber of Plymouth, and two brothers, Bernard LeBeau and Daniel LeBeau, both of Washington, D.C. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Notre Dame Church at a later date. Burial will be in Maple Street Cemetery. There are no calling hours. She also leaves four grandchildren, Irene Beyer of Salisbury, N.C., David Hood of Plymouth, Keel Hood of Fairfield, Maine, and Andrew Hood of New York; three great-grandchildren, Kaeli, Noah and Chaela Hood; many nieces and nephews, including Jennifer LeBeau of Pelham; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
