SMITH, Ivan Leonard - Peacefully at home in his sleep, on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by the love of his family. Ivan Leonard Smith, in his 75th year. Loving father of Glen Smith and his wife Pam of Verona and William Smith and his wife Lea of Kingston. Ever remembered by his wife Marlene Smith. Proud grandfather of David, Carrie, Rider, and Dane. Dear brother of Ron Smith and his wife Joan of Kingston, Doreen Gibbs and her husband Red of London, Ontario, Audrey Deroche, also of Kingston and Pat Sutton and her husband Jack of Newburgh. Also remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his brothers Glen and Dell and by his sister Irene. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ian Sempowski and Dr. Courtney Bell for their compassion and dedication. Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, December 7, 2007 for service in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:30 p.m., The Reverend Oscar Simpson officiating.
