Iris Elizabeth Jean Carroll Of St. Patrick's Home of Ottawa, passed away on May 25, 2003 in Ottawa. She was 86. Iris was born the daughter of the late Hanlon and Pearl Carroll in Kingston and resided in Kingston until 1940. She was a Civil Servant in Ottawa and had been retired for 30 years. She attended Sydenham High School and Metzler Business College. She was a member of the United Church. Iris travelled to England, across Canada, US, Russia, Japan, China, Guyana and Jerusalem. She enjoyed pa inting and art and collecting stamps and coins. She is survived by her brother Stuart (Minnie); niece Diane (Lloyd) Nuttall; niece Wanda (Charles) Parkes, nephew Alan (Janice) Carroll, and eight great nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her parents, s ister Betty and brother Reg. The funeral was held on May 30, 2003 with Rev. Anne MacDermaid officiating. Pallbearers were nephews Lloyd Nuttall, Charles Parkes, Alan Carroll, great nephews Kwesi Parkes, Adam Nuttall, Adrian Parkes. Interment held at Wilton. 0 6/28/2003- ID2115957 - Kingston Whig Standard
