She was born November 7, 1932, in Hinckley, Utah to Alton and Irene Joregensen Theobald. She married Richard Leon Peterson on September 12, 1948.Rae, as she liked to go by, was raised in Hinckley with her 13 brothers and sisters on the family farm. She loved to crochet and going for walks. Rae enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She also loved the outdoors, gardening and watching her cats play. Rae was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.She is survived by her six children, Charlene Reagle of Las Vegas, NV, David Leon Peterson of Las Vegas, NV, Christopher Peterson of Reno, NV, Craig Peterson of Washington, UT, Lloyd Peterson of Cedar City, UT and Kay Lynn Peterson of Washington, UT; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Wyla Carlisle, Mary Irby, Ione DeMille, Charles Theobald, Susan Schiess, and Tommy Theobald. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Leon Peterson; daughter, JoAnn Kimble; grandson, Chance Reagle; siblings, Leo Theobald, Elbren Theobald, DeVon Theobald, DeLoy Theobald, Thilda Remington, Lena Harney and Jarrell Theobald.Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 3:00 pm at the Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George. There will be a viewing Friday, February 1, from 6:00-8:00 pm and also Saturday, from 1:00-2:30 pm prior to services.Arrangements are made under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, (435) 673-2454.
