CARTER, Irene L., age 84, of Plant City, Florida passed away on November 16, 2014. Irene was born in Keokuk, Iowa to George Edward and Ella Louise Schwab. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Plant City and enjoyed volunteering for the church and the community. Irene was a lifetime St. Louis Cardinals fan. She is predeceased by her husband, Jerome T. Carter; three brothers, Ed Schwab, Jim Schwab and Ike Schwab. Loving family who survive are three sons, Steve (wife, Alison) Carter, Jay Carter, Michael (wife, Pamela) Carter; sister Shirley (husband, Leroy) Daughters; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Plant City. A funeral service will be on Friday, November 21, 2014, 11am at the First United Methodist Church of Plant City, 303 N. Evers St., Plant City, FL 33563. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Burial will take place at a later date in Keokuk, Iowa.
