COOPER, Irene Gertrude. Passed away peacefully in her ninety-ninth year at Bluewater Health Palliative Care in Sarnia with family at her side on Friday, May 16, 2008. During her lifetime Irene resided in Toronto; Lachine, Quebec; London, Ontario; and Sarnia, Ontario. Beloved wife of the late Jack Walter Cooper (1978). Loving mother of Gary (Brenda and the late Shirley Cooper) and Mike of British Columbia (predeceased by Celine). Cherished grandmother of Kevin (Evangeline), Terri (Paul), Michael (Takisha) and Ian (Tina). Proud great-grandmother of Meagan, Tiffany, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Derek, Ian, Alysha, Nicole, Brandon and Joshua. Always in her heart are Rhonda, Renee, Michelle, and all her nieces and nephews as well as her many friends. Predeceased by her sisters Jean, Gladys, Helen, Alice "Toots", Wilma "Billy", and brothers Chuck and Ted. At Irene's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place in Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association and Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Turner and Porter 'Yorke' Chapel, Toronto, Ontario.
