IRENE GANDYSMITH, 75Homemaker LAKE WALES - Irene Gandy Smith, 75, of Lake Wales passed away Friday, October 12, 2007 due to heart failure at her home. Born December 28, 1931 in Eustis, FL, she came to Lake Wales from Tallahassee in 1967. She was a homemaker and was a member of the New Harvest Worship Center. Irene was preceded by her husband, Everett C. Smith; son, Everett C. Smith Jr.; daughter, Patty Ann Montgomery; brothers, Edward Gandy & Monroe Gandy; parents, Edward Eugene & Alvie Irene Gandy; and two grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Irene Bradley of Lake Wales, Donna Jean Suazo of Lake Wales; sons, M. Gene Smith of Lake Wales, Donald R. Smith of Lake Wales; sister, Joyce Chavis of Umatilla; 18 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, October 15, 2007 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales with Rev. Steve Livingston and Rev. John Cannon officiating. Family will be receiving friends from 3:00 - 5:00 PM, Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Lake Wales. Interment will follow the service at Lake Wales Cemetery.
