Irene Frances Jackson _ The death of Irene Frances Jackson (nee Fischer) occurred Friday, November 07, 2003 at Saskatoon City Hospital in the presence of her loving family. Irene was predeceased by her loving husband Frank, in March, 2001; her parents, Winford and Annie Fischer; her brother, Harold Fischer and his wife Doreen; an infant brother, Edward; a brother-in-law, Orville Jackson; and sister-in-law, Hannah McGillivray. Left to mourn her loss are her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Maurice (Florence) Jackson, Dick Jackson, Bella Wiebel, Ken (Loretta) Jackson, Elvara (Frank) Davidson, Bonnie Rasmussen, Roy Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. Irene received her education at the Wheatfield School, north of Perdue, SK. After her marriage to Frank in 1944, they moved to Toronto for several years, where Irene worked for Bell Canada. She was very involved with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch TVS #78. She very much enjoyed her residence at Luther Heights. The Funeral Service will be held at Mayfair United Church (902 33rd Street, Saskatoon, SK), Monday, November 10, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. officiated by Mrs. Elaine Thomas. Interment will take place in Soldier's Field, Woodlawn Cemetery, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch TVS #78, c/o Jim Crowe, 2128 York Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7J 1H8 or a charity of donor's choice. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Luther Heights and the staff Ward 6300, Saskatoon City Hospital for their care of Irene. Arrangements are entrusted to Larry Matisho, McKague's Funeral Chapel (664-3131).
