COOPER Irene Mae, nee (McIntosh) At sunset, Tuesday, September 28, Irene Mae Cooper peacefully passed away at her home in Victoria. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Cooper, parents, John James and Maude Anne McIntosh, sister Evelyn (Frank) Guymer, brothers Ted (Helen), Jack (Doris). Irene was born in Kenora, Ontario and went to school in The Pas, Manitoba. After completing a business course she moved to Ottawa, and was employed by the Federal Government. It was in Ottawa where she met and married Bob Cooper, the love of her life! They later moved to Cobourg, Ontario, where they established a very successful Real Estate and Insurance business. In early 1980's they retired to Victoria, B.C. Traveling, artappreciation and the performing arts were many of the interests they shared. Irene enjoyed her association with the walking group '23 Skidoo', the James Bay United Church Poetry Group, and her bridge club. This is a reflective time for our family. We mourn our loss, but are so very grateful for the important part she played in our lives. She was, and will always be, an inspiration to all of us. We dearly loved her, will never forget her and will keep her in our hearts forever. The service will be held in James Bay United Church on Saturday, October 2, 2004 at 1:30 PM.
