August 6, 2003 Inez P. Johnson, 87, of South Street, Madison, died on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at Crouse Community Center. Her loving family was at her side following a lengthy illness. Inez was born on January 24, 1916 in Rome the daughter of Clarence and Viola Farr Palmer. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy Class of '32. On December 30, 1934, Inez married Harold "Jack" Johnson Sr. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Hamilton. Their loving union lasted over 62 years until Jack's death in 1997. Inez helped her husband in the operation of the family business, Madison Dodge, retiring in 1981. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church and it's Altar and Rosary Society. Inez was also a 50-year member of the Pleasant Valley Grange and the Madison Historical Society. Inez is survived by: two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Donald Livermore, and Elizabeth and Brent Moyer, all of Madison; her daughter-in-law, Betty Johnson of Madison; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was also predeceased by her son Harold "Jack" Johnson Jr. in 2002. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10:15 a.m. at the Paul Funeral Home of Madison followed at 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church with the Rev. Msgr. John R. Madden, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in Madison Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
