Imogene Johnson, who would have celebrated her 95th birthday on Dec. 30, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, in Harriman Care and Rehabilitation Center. A lifelong resident of Oakdale (Piney) and a lifetime member of Piney Baptist Church, she was a correspondent (Piney News) for the Morgan County News for 21 years. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Honce and Ollie Eble, husband, Henry; son, Tony; adopted son, Roy; brothers, Hollis, Lee, Jackie and Johnny Eble; and one sister, Armena Wright.She is survived by two daughters, Judy Cook (Lloyd), and Tommie West (Jim); sister, Ena Mae Peavyhouse; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Johnson; two sisters-in-law, Bessie Eble and Mary Myrtle Eble; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.The family received friends from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, in Piney Baptist Church, Oakdale. Funeral service followed at 2 p.m., with Bro. Pat McGee and Bro. Jim Disney officiating. Burial was at Piney Cemetery.
