Rice, Ida passed away peacefully on January 10, 2016 in her 93rd year of life at North York General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Joseph RiceZÂ"L, loving mother of Lillian Dayan (Isaac), Isaac Rice (Janice) and David Rice (Susie). Adored grandmother of Rachel Wald (Ron), Rebecca Yosipovich (Ben), Sara Toder (Chaim), Anna Cyngiser (Tal), David Dayan (Laura), Julia Rice (Steven), Jordan Rice (Lisa), Emmy Kuypers (Luke) and Joshua Rice (Sherafat). Proud and loving great-grandmother of Benji, Netanel, Zachy, Naomi, Jacob, Josh, Tamar, Yonatan, Noam, Grace, Jason and Noah.She was a holocaust survivor, who lost many relatives during the war, but also found her besheret, Joseph, to whom she was married for over 60 years. After being liberated, they emigrated to Canada in 1950, where she was a dedicated and caring nurse and a wonderful mother to her children, an Eshet Chayil in every sense.
