HAMILTON, Ida Pearl, 79, passed away peacefully Monday, January 5, 2009, at the Edwinola House in Dade City, Fla. Pearl was born Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1929, in Orangeburg, S.C. She moved to Tampa in 1955 with her husband of 52 years, the late Robert Hamilton. Pearl loved music, dancing, celebrating life, and caring and sharing with family and friends. This special lady will be sadly missed by her daughter, Margaret Ayers of Land 0' Lakes; grandsons, A.J. and Austin Ayers; sisters, Ruby and Bertha and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maggie Bloodworth; sister, Magnolia; and brothers, James and Gene. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Januar 12, 2009, at Whitfield Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service. Mrs. Hamilton will be placed to rest at 1:30 p.m. beside her husband, Bob, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
