Ida J. Johnson, 98, Charlotte Harbor, died Dec. 19, 2004. She was born March 1, 1906, in Copenhagen, Denmark, and came to Charlotte Harbor in 1985 from New York. She worked for the John D. Rockefeller family at their estate in Pocantico Hills, N.Y., and later became a homemaker. She was a volunteer at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County for 10 years and was associated with The Senior Services. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte. Survivors include daughters Esther M. Rees of Monroeville, Pa., and Charlotte Harbor, and Ruth J. Cushman of Port Charlotte; a son, Victor of Virginia Beach, Va.; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be later. National Cremation Society, Venice chapter, is in charge.
