Irene I. Peters, 75, died April 30, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center. She was born in Nuremberg, Germany, and lived in Merritt Island since 1962, coming from San Francisco. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church of Merritt Island and the German Club of Cocoa. Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Smith of Vero Beach; sons, Terry Peters and Jeff Smith, both of Vero Beach; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Peters. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alternative Education Center, 4680 28th Court, Vero Beach, FL 32967. Services: Services will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Va.
