Ida Belle Skipworth Johnson, 89, formerly of Muscle Shoals, died Monday, June 23, 2008.Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons.She was a lifelong resident of Muscle Shoals, a homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rado Johnson; her parents, Thomas P. and Ida M. Skipworth; nine brothers; and five sisters.She is survived by her son, Dale Johnson (Roxanne); daughter, Betty Rickman (Larry); grandchildren, Tricia (Mike), Tommy (Tiffany), Carl (Laura), Eric, Nikki (Michael), Marcy (Neal) and Blake; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Sofia and Tucker; numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Association, 4205 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 216, Nashville, TN 37215.Spry Serenity Chapel, of Florence, is directing.
