Hugh Robert T. R. Morrow 1936-2015 Hugh (Robert Thomas Rice) Morrow of Burton, NB passed away on January 23rd, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born June 4th 1936 he was the son of the late Henry and Edith (Rice) Morrow. Hugh was known for his strong work ethic. He started working as a young man at the Saint John Dry Dock before working 12 years with Maritime Electric and 25 years with NB Power. Hugh, or Mr. NB Power, as he was known to many residents of the Oromocto area, could always be relied on to "keep the lights on". He was a dedicated, loyal man, with his work, his family and his community. Hugh loved spending time in Hillsdale, his summer retreat for hunting, gardening and cutting the winter’s wood. He had great talent as a moose caller, and spent many years being invited to lead the moose hunt, especially with his nephews, Robert and Dave Rankin and Gene Aiton. He is survived by his wife, Velda (Fraser) Morrow of Burton, NB; his children, Pamela Morgan, Robert Morrow (Tina) and James Morrow (Rhonda); grandchildren, Emily Morgan, Spencer, Chelsea and Corson Morrow and Aislin Morrow; siblings, Kay Carson, Margaret Gamble, Aileen Duplessis, Maple Shwetz (Bill), Etta Sharpe, his twin sister, Edith Rankin; Jean McKenzie (Merle), and many more much loved brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Hugh was predeceased by his parents; his son, John Morrow and siblings, Mary Wilkins and James Morrow. Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 27th, 2015 from 1-4 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, January 28th, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Doug Blaikie officiating.
