DAVIS, HOWARD DOUGLAS "DOUG", 73 Summerfield - Mr. Davis of Summerfield, FL., passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Lady Lake Specialty Care. A native of Naugatuck, West Virginia he had made Summerfield his home since 1980 moving from Youngstown, Ohio. He had worked as a truck driver most of his life and was a member of Church of God in Mechanicsville, OH. Served in U.S. Army during Korea. Survivors include, wife of 52 years, Helen L. Davis; 4 children, W.S. Davis and Randolph Davis both of Belleview, FL., Phyllis G. Harnes of Summerfield, FL., and Thomas W. Davis of Irwin, OH; brother, Robert Davis, North Louisburg, OH; 4 sisters, Thelma Maddox, Marysville, OH., Hope Gillan, OH, Juanita Cole, Urbana, OH., and Betty Marien Stokes, North Louisburg, OH; 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL SERVICES, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview with Rev. Ronald S. Walker officiating. Burial will be in Belleview Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
