WATERLOO- Holly Jean Gilbert, 52, of 33 Indian Hills Drive, died Sunday, (March 28, 2010) at her home.Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday (Apr. 1) and 1 to 3 p.m., Friday (Apr. 2) at Calvary Chapel in Seneca Falls. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday (Apr. 3) at the Calvary Chapel of Seneca Falls. Pastors Mark Seeber and Ray Torrey will officiate. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Waterloo.Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Chapel of Seneca Falls, memo: Ireland Ministry, 2291 Route 89, Seneca Falls, 13148.Holly was born August 31, 1957, in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of the late Howard J. and the late Hazel Abbott Crosby. She was a 1975 graduate of Pioneer Central School in Yorkshire and a 1977 graduate from the State University College of Technology at Alfred as a medical laboratory technician. She was employed for many years with Wyoming County Community Hospital as a lab technician. Later she was employed with Warsaw Central School as a teacher's assistant, retiring in 1994. She and her husband then moved to Waterloo February of 1995. In 1979 Holly accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She served God in many ways in ministries in the United States and Ireland. She reached out to others with the love and compassion of Jesus.She survived by her husband, whom she married Nov. 12, 1977, Gary A. Gilbert, one son, Nathaniel J. (Caryn) Gilbert, of Seneca Falls; three daughters, Phoebe J. (Aaron) Williams, Olivia G. Gilbert and Leah M. Gilbert, all of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, Nehemiah W. Williams, Ezra M. Williams, Jonah A. Williams, Hannah K. Gilbert, Jael H. Gilbert, Enoch R. Gilbert and Justus G. Gilbert; sister, Karen (Ken) Kanouff of Carlton, Ga.; two nieces and one nephew.Arrangements have been entrusted to Coe-Genung Funeral Home.
