Hilda Elizabeth Howard Cox - GARDEN CITY - Hilda Elizabeth Howard Cox, age 79, of Garden City, passed away on November 18, 2008, at Candler Medical Center. Hilda was born in Hardeeville, SC, on January 4, 1929 to the late William "Bill" Mills and Lottie Frances Walls Mills. She was owner of Howards Generator and Starter Repair for many years. She was a member of Trinity Church of God for over 15 years where she taught Sunday school and children's church. She was predeceased by her husband P.C. Howard Jr., and sisters Louise Lowther and Grace Shoemaker. She is survived by her Husband Thad "T.J." Cox of Garden City, daughter Faye Lingle (Steve) of Guyton, son Calvin Howard (Margaret) of Garden City, step daughters Mary Jane Kinsey of Gainesville and Betty Anne Wilson of Anderson, SC, grandchildren Jeannie, Kristy, and Billy, 3 step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren sister Miriam Floyd of Hardeeville, brother William "Bo" Mills of Savannah, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday, November 19 at Fairhaven Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Thursday at Trinity Church of God with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Fairhaven Funeral Home 2794 W.
