ObituaryHerma Combs Williams, 97, of Ft. Myers passed away July 23, 2004 under the gentle care of Hope Hospice and the nurses and aides of Ft. Myers Care. Born in Emmalena, KY, she had been a resident of Ft. Myers since 1972, moving from Naples, where she taught many years at Naples High School. She was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of McGregor Baptist Church and was active for many years in Lee County Retired Educators Association, Lady Lions Auxiliary and Visually Impaired Persons of S.W. Florida. She is survived by daughter, Linda Lou Jones, grandson, Michael Jones, (Melanie), three great-grandchildren, Tanner, Kristin and Ashlee all of Ft. Myers, and a brother, Ova Combs of Madison, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by husband, Wilbur F. Williams, and grandson Steven Jones. A private burial service will be conducted at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens. In her memory, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908.
