FLETCHER - Henry T., 74, of Rutherford, NJ died peacefully at his home on Monday, April 24, with his loving family at his side. Henry was born and raised in Bayonne and lived in Rutherford for 42 years. He was a 1953 graduate of St. Peter's College and served with distinction in the U.S. Marine Corp. Marie Dugan Fletcher, also of Bayonne, and Henry shared a beautiful life together celebrating fifty years of marriage last June. Together they found a friendship, raised a family and built a beautiful marriage, their love never failed. Marie and Henry shared joy in raising their family, son and daughter-in-law, Patrick Joseph and Esther, of River Edge NJ, daughter, Mary Eustace of Weehawken NJ, daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen Susan and Kevin Harrington of Norwalk Conn., son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Henry and Diane of Arlington, VA and six grandchildren, Daniel, Jaclyn, Kate, Maggie, Bridget and Colleen. Henry spent his professional life as an accountant, retiring as the controller from the NJ Sports and Exposition Authority in 1987. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish in Rutherford. A loving and devoted husband and father, cherished friend and mentor to his Little League and Babe Ruth players, who was known as one of the nicest people you would ever meet. Friends and family will be received on Thursday evening from 7pm-9pm, and Friday 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9 pm at Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford, NJ 07070. A funeral mass will be offered at 11am at the Church of St. Mary also in Rutherford. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
