Henry Richard Gunther, 85, died Sept. 12, 2007 at VNA Hospice House. He was born in Berlin, Germany, and lived in Vero Beach for 19 years, coming from West Dennis, Mass. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corp. He was a printer working in the newspaper industry. He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. He was a member of the VFW of Yorktown Heights, N.Y. Survivors inlcude his wife of 63 years, Margaret, of Vero Beach; daughters, Kathleen Hughes of Palestine, Texas, Veronica Lenz of Fort Mongomery, N.Y., and Patricia Gunther of Lafayette, Ind.; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elsie Fluck. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach, 6230 77th St., Vero Beach, FL 32967. SERVICES: A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Sept. 14 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
