OBITUARY HENRY PETER AMSDEN August 11,1911-March 31, 2009 We are saddened to announce the passing of Henry at the age of ninety-seven. Predeceased by his wife Marguerite (Margo), his brother Bernard, and his sister Ruth. Henry is survived by his loving son Marc (Kate) and his brother Edmund (better known as Mike). Henry was a proud member of the 17th Duke of York's Royal Canadian Hussars for more than 70 years. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in the 1930's. He later went on to become a much-in-demand letterer and sign painter, whose work can still be seen around the city. We wish to thank the staff at CHSLD Vincenzo-Navarro for their excellent care of Henry. Thanks also to Trauma and ICU at Santa Cabrini for their professionalism and compassion. Henry was a generous, happy person who was always up for a good conversation, especially about one of his two favourite subjects, Shakespeare and history. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten. The family will receive condolences at 3955 Cote-de-Liesse, Ville St-Laurent, Thursday, April 2, from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 3, starting at 10 a.m. The funeral service will be held, Friday, April 3, at 1 p.m. at Saint-Brendan Church, 3542 Rosemont Blvd., Montreal.
