->FARMINGDALE -- Henry A. Lavallee, 83, of Beech Street, Farmingdale, passed away Saturday morning, March 3, 2007, at home with family at his side.Henry was born in Augusta on Jan. 19, 1924, a son of Theophile and Ida (Ouellette) Lavallee. Henry was an Army veteran of World War II. He had been employed for 40 years at Scofield Construction Co., Wakefield, Mass. He was educated in Gardiner schools.Henry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Simone Bonenfant Lavallee of Farmingdale; three children, Henry A. Lavallee Jr. of Chesapeake, Va., Patricia Black of Charleston, S.C., and Tinamarie Gallagher of Londonderry, N.H.; his brother, Alfred Lavallee of Gardiner; his sister, Gloria Pollis of Gardiner; two grandchildren, Erin and Brian Gallagher; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Committal services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel at the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HealthReach Hospice and Volunteers of Kennebec Valley, 150 Dresden Ave., Gardiner, ME 04345.Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner.
