Winne, Helen RAVENA Helen Winne passed gently from this life to the next surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 19, 2006. She was 84. Helen was born February 23, 1922 to the late John and Emma Pebler in Ravena where she lived all her life. Helen was a caring and loving wife and mother. Her fierce and protective presence will be greatly missed. Helen is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Clifton Winne; daughters, Deanna, Donna and Debbie; sons-in-law, Bernard Valentino and Tony Wolfe; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Cumm; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Jim, John and twin brother, Theodore (Bud) and sister, Teresa (Tess). Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 22 at the Congregational Christian Church, Ravena. Burial will follow in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore. Friends may call at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her memory to the Congregational Christian Church, 175 Main St., Ravena, NY 12143.
