Helen E. "Honey" Wilson Hammond, IN Helen E. "Honey" Wilson, age 91, of Hammond, IN, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007. She was born April 8, 1916 to the late Frank and Helen Wilson in Hammond, IN. Helen is survived by her sister, Rosemary (late Larry) Ray of Hammond, IN; brother, Richard (Peggy) Wilson of Crown Point, IN; and her sister, Jean (late Ernie) Rusk of Calumet City, IL. Honey was always the center around which the family revolved and she possessed an unfading spirit that will remain her greatest gift to those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and long remembered by all who knew her. Left behind to cherish her loving memory are her nieces and nephews whom she treated as her children: Nancy (Charles) Semchuk of Munster, IN, Mike (Annette) Wagner of Hammond, IN, Jeff Rusk of Calumet City, IL, Judy (George) Groll of Dyer, IN, Chris Rusk of Calumet City, IL, Ashley (Dennis) Kramer of Crown Point, IN, John (Janice) Wilson of Highland, IN, Janet (Dale) Carras of Ononcoc, VA, Laura (Dan) Ostergard of Stewartville, MN, Carolyn Wilson of Crown Point, IN and Scott Wilson of Chattanooga, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers: Frank Jr., Harry, Edward, Roy David and Jack (Betty) Wilson; and her nephews: David and James Wilson. Helen, a lifelong resident of Hammond, IN, was an active member of All Saints Church until her recent illness. She was employed at General American for many years and also at Peggy Hale and Rosalee Dress Shops. The family wishes to extend grateful thanks and deep appreciation to her caregivers at Munster Med Inn these past two years. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 25, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Church in Hammond. Fr. Robert Evers celebrating the mass. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends may visit on Sunday, June 24, 2007 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Burns-Kish Funeral Home.
