Winterville, GA - Helen Wills Williams, 89, died February 18, 2004.Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Joseph Riley and Juette Hill Wills and widow of Walter Sanders Williams. A son, James Walter Williams, sister, Claire Hooper and brothers, Herman, Dean and Myron Wills, preceded her in death. Following her retirement from the Naval Supply Corps School in 1979, Mrs. Williams served as Winterville City Clerk for a number of years and was a longtime active member of Winterville United Methodist Church.Funeral services will be Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Winterville United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Reeves officiating. Interment will be in Winterville Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Joe Bowman, Jeff Bowman, Jay Bowman, Michael Kempf, Tommy Wills and Bo Hooper.Survivors include children, Russell W. and Gloria Bowman, Laura Joan Bowman and Mary Quinn, all of Winterville; grandchildren, Russell Joseph and Maria Bowman, Jeffrey Scott and Tammy Bowman, Jay Lane and Cynthia Bowman, Elizabeth Nicole and Michael Kempf and Danielle Sharon Williams; 7 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM.Flowers are optional.
