->Walk, HelenHorseheads, NY: Helen Walk, 86 years formerly of 42 High St., Corning, NY died Friday, November 4, 2011 at Elcor Health Services, Horseheads. She was born February 19, 1925 in Tyrone, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Draus. Helen was a life long resident of Corning, graduating from Corning Free Academy. Helen worked as a factory worker for Corning Inc., retiring with 30 years service. Helen was very much a family person, enjoying spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent her evenings watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and loved to crochet. She had a great love for her dog, Friskee. Surviving, her long time companion, Pat Cosgrove of Corning, NY, sons; Michael (Pam) Walk, Horseheads, NY and John Walk, Corning, NY. Grandchildren, Michelle (D.J) Robinson of Hilton, NY and Jeffrey Walk of CA and great grandchildren, Hannah and Shayne Robinson. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband, John C. Walk and four brothers and a sister. Friends may call at Haughey Funeral Home, 216 E. First St., Corning, NY, Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 1-3 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.
