HELEN MARION WHYTE May 8, 1929 n May 1, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Whyte announce her passing on Friday, May 1, 2009, one week before her 80th birthday, in the Palliative Care Unit of Pasqua Hospital. Helen was raised on a farm north east of Archerwill with her two brothers. In 1948 she married Ray and together they raised 4 children. Helen's career was spent working for Canada Post, and she loved every minute of it, reluctantly retiring in 1995. Helen dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, always running in one direction or another to lend a hand. She also spent countless hours on the phone visiting with her many friends from all over Canada. In February of this year Helen was able to make one of her dreams come true by making her first trip outside of Canada to visit her Grandson and his family in the U.S. Helen will be remembered by her family and her friends as having a huge heart with a very gentle soul. Helen is survived by her loving family, Kathy (Denny) Shaw, Brian Whyte, Mavis Whyte, Sharron (Marlow) Nadeau; Grandchildren, Jeff (Krissy) Haines, Jason (Fay) Haines, Alissa (Mike) Foreman, Megan Booker (Curtis), Dylan Nadeau, Kallie Nadeau; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins. She is also survived by Harold (Pat) Whyte, Van Whyte, Glenn (Ingrid) Whyte, Roy (Debbie) Whyte. Helen was predeceased by her husband Ray Whyte in August, 2006, her parents Loyd and Jennie McMartin, brothers Harvy, and Elton. If so wishing donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Regina Pasqua Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society. At Helen's request there will be no funeral service.
