MILLER, Helen Slater, 75, of Trilby, Fla., went home to be with her Lord Thursday, October 11, 2007, in Zephyrhills, Fla. She was born December 2, 1931, in Limona, Fla., to William Joseph Slater and Gannie Anderton Slater. She loved her family and raised them in the admonition of the Lord. She was a member of the Trilby Baptist Church, where she served as the pianist. She loved to work in her garden, where she grew greens and roses. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Toncy Miller; five children, Lamar, Janet, Kathy, Melanie and Michelle; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007, at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Trilby Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2007, at the funeral home.
