CARRUTHERS, “Helen“ Rose - passed away peacefully at her residence after a long courageous battle with cancer on Saturday July 26th, 2008. Helen Carruthers, retired school teacher for 32 years and an active volunteer with the Liberal party, of Corbyville in her 70th year. Daughter of the late Robert & Florence Gibson. Beloved wife of 45 years to Jim Carruthers. Loving mother of Katharine Carruthers and fiance Jack Juby of Smithfield, and Andrew Carruthers of Belleville. Loving grandmother of Sarah, Rebecca and Cody. Survived by sister in law Lois (Harold) Fleming of Trenton, and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave, Belleville (613-968-5588) on Tuesday July 29th, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. Hal Wilson officiating. Cremation to follow with interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
