Helen A. MorrisPoughkeepsie - Helen A. Morris, 86 of Poughkeepsie died on October 28, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center after a long illness. Born on April 5, 1926 in Independence, LA., she is the daughter of the late Jasper and Vita Schiro.Helen is a graduate of Wallkill High School Class of 1944. She worked at IBM in Poughkeepsie as a Secretary for 18 years. After her retirement she enjoyed being a Homemaker. Helen is survived by her husband, Joseph S. Morris, her son Kevin S. Morris, three grandsons, Jason, Shawn and Steven Morris, four great grandsons, Gage, Kohl, Dakota and Shawn Morris, many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her twelve brothers and sisters. There are no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home.
