HELEN MORRIS (NEE ALMASON) MUNSTER, IN Helen Morris (nee Almason), age 93 of Munster, passed away October 4, 2012 at the W.J. Riley Hospice Residence. She was the beloved wife of late Thomas C. Morris of 55 years; loving mother of Karen (Joseph) Vessely and Timothy (Devis) Morris; dear grandmother to Kezia (Raymond) Cirks, Bethany (Daniel) Hayes, Paula (Anthony) Stasulas, Valerie DeCapua, and Joseph (Kristen) Vessely; cherished grandmother of 13; and aunt to Patricia Shell. Helen was born in East Chicago, graduated from Roosevelt High School and Indiana University Northwest with a degree in Accounting. She was employed as an auditor for the Indiana Department of Revenue and retired from the Lake County Treasurer's Office. Helen was a member of St. Thomas More Church for 60 years, the Rosary Society and Beta Gamma Philanthropic Sorority, Hospice, and Briar Ridge Country Club. Private family services were held Saturday, October 7, 2012 at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church of Munster with Rev. Michael Yadron officiant. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home, Schererville, in charge of arrangements. Helen's wish was that memorial contributions in her loving memory be made to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
