MACDONALD Helen Margaret 26 July 1911 to 3 December 2007 Helen passed away in the early morning of December 3, 2007 at age 96. She was predeceased by her husband John and her daughter Susan Homewood (Brock). She is survived by sons David (Fang) and Robert (Valerie) and grandchildren Josh, Jill, Andrew and Tara. Helen was born in Victoria and moved to Vancouver at an early age. She attended the Vancouver School of Art and demonstrated an artistic flair throughout her life. Early years of married life were spent in the Peace River country, but towards the end of the war years she returned to Vancouver. Helen and her family moved to West Vancouver in 1950, where family grew and friendships formed. Helen was a keen gardener and an avid bridge player. After the death of John, her many bridge friends filled her life. Helen was an elegant lady in manner and dress. Dundarave residents knew Helen as the ÃHat LadyÄ. She was loved and respected by all and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Her final years were spent at Glenwarren Lodge in Victoria where she received an exemplary level of love and care. The family is planning a Memorial Gathering at 2:30 pm on March 10, 2008 at ÃThe Silk PurseÄ in West Vancouver to honour Helen's memory. Sands - Colwood 317 Goldstream Ave., Victoria 250-478-3821
