Helen Lucasof ApalachinHelen Lucas, 78, of Apalachin, passed away Wednesday morning, January 8, 2003 at the James G. Johnston Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley F. Lucas; her brother, Nick Bundas; and her sister, Mary Rogacki. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Valerie Lucas; her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Kenny Alspaugh; five grandchildren, Scott Lucas, Eric Lucas and his wife Gretchen, Amanda Lucas, Zachary and Carrie Alspaugh; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Anne Tatusko, Irene and Clyde Ivy, Patricia and Joseph Gallo; three brothers and one sister-in-law, John and Sally Bundas, Andy Bundas and Michael Bundas; her sister-in-law, Nora Bundas; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Endicott and a retired General Electric employee.Funeral services will be held Monday, 9 a.m., from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd, Endicott and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends the Pucedo Funeral Home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Lucas may be made to Broome County Animal Care Council, PO Box 456, Binghamton, N.Y. 13902, or to Stray Haven S.P.C.A., 194 Shepard Rd. Waverly, N.Y. 14892.
