Helen L. Raymond, 73, of Palermo, died Tuesday at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY. She was born in Palermo, daughter of the late Harry and Anna Green McCarty. She attended the Fulton Alliance Church and was involved in Foster Parenting. She was an avid gardener, baker and cook. She enjoyed ceramics. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Charles Raymond; two daughters, Mary Jane (Steve) Bonocora, Cicero, Tammie (Beck) Roberts, Palermo; two sons, Chester (Viola) Raymond, Palermo, Loren Raymond, Palermo; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ena Muir, Williamstown, Mary Merritt, Palermo, Lillian Fralick, Florida; two brothers, Albert McCarty, Scriba, Edward McCarty, Palermo; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday from the Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Ave., Mexico, NY. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery. Calling hours will be 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the family. Date of Death: October 1, 2013
