Graveside service for Helen Kitchens Todd, 78, of Decatur will be Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Petty officiating and Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.Mrs. Todd died Monday, May, 10, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 4, 1925, in Decatur to Robert Lee Kitchens and Margaret Moles Kitchens. She was a member of First Baptist Church and attended Grace Church. She worked at Cooper, Hill and LeCroix as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Todd was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. “Sonny” Todd Jr.Survivors include two daughters, Luann Todd and Joni Hallman, both of Decatur; two granddaughters, Kristin Hallman Slaton of Cullman and Kayla Hallman of Decatur; and one great-grandson, Wesley Keith Slaton Jr. of Cullman.
