ANNISTON — Memorial service for Helen Janet Mayfield Strange Smith, 69, will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2010, at 7th Day Oak Grove Community Church with Bob Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Food and fellowship will follow service. Mrs. Smith passed away, January 4, 2010 at her home. Survivors include daughter, Kathleen Strange; son, James (Robin) Strange; mother, Helen Walker; brother, Johnny (Gail) Mayfield; sister, Janna Williams and brother, Darrell Whited; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her father, Odie Mayfield; stepfathers, Coy Whited and Kenneth Walker. Mrs. Smith was a long time resident of Calhoun County, She graduated from Spring Vale Academy in Owosso, Missouri. She loved life, travel, and seeing God's beautiful creations.
