Helen Jordan After a four month battle with pancreatic cancer, Helen Jordan of New Liskeard died August 14, 2007 at the Temiskaming Hospital. She was born in New Liskeard on November 2, 1933 to Gladys and Edward Jordan. Educated in New Liskeard and Malartic, Quebec, she worked in the mail department at Northern Telephone for 30 years. Miss Jordan loved fishing, associating with friends, her computer and helping the ladies with the United Church Women. A member of St. Paul’s United Church in Ottawa, she is survived by her siblings Jay (Gloria) Jordan of Arnprior, Audrey MacDonell of Ottawa, Grant Jordan of Burlington, Fern Irwin of New Liskeard and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Arnold (Helen) Jordan of Alliston, Norma Pinkerton of Barrie and Vivian Jordan of New Liskeard. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel in New Liskeard with the burial of ashes August 22 at the New Liskeard Pioneer Cemetery.
