JOHNSON _ Helen, of Burnaby, passed away peacefully in St. Joseph's Hospital, Comox, January 12, 2004. Survived by daughter Alice (Arvid) Olson of Fanny Bay, grandchildren Kathy Olson and Glen (Lorraine) Olson, great-grandchildren Ryan, Kyle, Jayme, Dayna and Trisha; also Warren, Jackie and Alyse, Cidalia, John and Emma, and many nieces, nephews and friends. The eldest of six children born in 1918 to John and Helen Guenther, she was predeceased by her siblings, husband Conrad (1977) and granddaughter Karen Olson (1988). Mom's strength was her eternal faith and inspiration, she bestowed on others. She will be lovingly remembered for her spirit, generosity and warmth. She went out of her way to help her family, friends and neighbors. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 21 at First Lutheran Church, 42nd & Wales, with Rev. Richard Hergesheimer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Lutheran Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
